Don’t let unsightly wires get you in a tangle. In this day and age, we are connected to dozens of electric devices 24/7 that all have to be plugged in somewhere. But there are ways to disguise the unattractive and cluttered wires, while adding some beauty and flair to your home. Drawers

Use your draws for more than just junk. This is a useful way to hide cords, keep organized, and keep your electronics within quick reach. You can easily do this yourself, too. Just pull an extension cord through the back of the drawer (if it’s a nightstand or dresser) and use 3M tape to secure it to the bottom of the drawer. Then you have several outlets in one place, and can also keep the electronics them selves hidden until you want to use them.

Crown Molding & Baseboards

If you have a lot of electronics that reach across entire rooms, this might be a better option. You can buy crown molding and baseboards that are hollow on the inside at most home improvement stores. It makes for a perfect place to hide those wires and cords. This will not only keep your room organized and wire-free, it can add a lot of character to a room, and give it an elegant flair.

Shower Curtain Rod

This is another, easy do-it-yourself project to hide the wires and cords in your home. It is especially useful for hiding mounted television cords. All you need is a hollow shower curtain rod. String the cords through, then, secure the rod vertically to the wall. If you want to be extra sneaky with this, paint the rod the same color as your wall. It will be almost indistinguishable.

False Paneling

False paneling, like the crown molding project, is a great way to organize your home while also adding more appeal. When mounting your television on your wall, make it a focal point with this technique. You’ll need hollow paneling so you can hide the wires in them.
